Overview

Backup Assistant Plus is a program developed by Verizon. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is verizon.exe. The software installer includes 32 files and is usually about 181.55 MB (190,369,701 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows Vista (SP2). While about 100% of users of Backup Assistant Plus come from the United States, it is also popular in Colombia and Australia.

How do I remove Backup Assistant Plus?

This is a Verizon product; by default it will not show up in the Add or Remove Programs list in any version of Windows.
