Overview

ARO 2013 is a program developed by Support.com. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is aro.exe. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 16 files and is usually about 17.07 MB (17,894,257 bytes). update.dll is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows Vista (SP2). This program piggybacked in on a Windows/Microsoft update and has taken out my Entire security and firewalls. It will not let me uninstall. Plus it has put in a trojan horse and another Rootkit.Oaccess on my registery key. Be careful of this program.
