How do I remove Windows Defender?

Windows Defender for Windows 7 and prior is only Anti-Spyware protection. I recommend getting Microsoft Security Essentials for full, free antivirus protection. Please note, Windows Defender on Windows 8 is their full, built-in AV protection component.
