What is Windows Live Sync?
Live Sync was a free-to-use Internet-based file synchronization application by Microsoft designed to allow files and folders between two or more computers be in sync with each other on Windows PCs or the Web via SkyDrive. It also enabled remote desktop access via the Internet.

Overview
The most used version is 14.0.8089.726, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is windowslivesync.exe. How do I remove Windows Live Sync?
