Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace
What is Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace?
The Games for Windows Marketplace client allows user to download full and demo games as well as game upgrades and add-ons through the Games on Demand service. Some titles bought on Games on Demand include Server Side Authentication. This is a Games for Windows feature that automatically ties the game to your Windows Live ID and the Gamertag associated to it. Microsoft eventually merged the content with the Xbox website. The Games for Windows client was also reduced to simply opening up the Windows section of Xbox.com.
