What is VaudiX?

Vaudix (DropInSaving variant) is a web browser extension for Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox that collects and stores information about a user's web browsing habits in order to provide advertising as well as inter-browser coupons. The installed plugin will attempt to find merchant deals based on the user's web context and/or inject advertising. It will also attempt to find competing web extensions installed on the user's PC and disable or remove them if discovered.

Overview

During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named VaudiX.exe. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 2 files and is usually about 514 KB (526,336 bytes).

How do I remove VaudiX?

You can uninstall VaudiX from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
