What is SMART Product Update?
SMART Product Update is the software update program that runs with Windows in the background and checks for updates, and automatically downloads and installs them if found based on the user's settings. The program can be configured by the user for maintaining a schedule for when to check the remote server for periodic software updates. If it finds an item to download, it will download and install the new update.

How do I remove SMART Product Update?
You can uninstall SMART Product Update from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program SMART Product Update, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
