What is Facebook Video Calling?

The video calling feature in Facebook powered by Skype is an in-browser Skype-based video chat which enables users to video conference their Facebook friends. Facebook provides users with two choices to initiate a call. You can choose someone from your online Facebook chat contacts and then hit the video button in the discussion window.

Features:
- Face-to-face video calls
- Video call button at the top of the chat window
- Add emoticons to your conversations
- You can leave a video message if a friend does not respond

About  (from Skype Technologies)

Video calling allows you to talk to your friends face to face. All you need to do is complete a quick, one-time setup, and you’re ready to call any friend on Facebook. Sometimes an emoticon just isn't enough. With face-to-face video calling, now you can watch your friends smile, wink and LOL. Just click the call button...  Read more

Overview

During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named adobe air updater.exe. The setup package generally installs about 263 files and is usually about 4.25 MB (4,460,544 bytes). The installed file wmfwupdater.dll is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.
