What is Canon Easy-WebPrint EX?
Canon Easy-WebPrint EX is plug-in for Windows Internet Explorer 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.
It features various functions for printing web pages including the print preview function, clipping function and layout editing function. Only when Easy-WebPrint EX is used in Internet Explorer 9, the printer "Canon Inkjet Writer for Easy-WebPrint EX" is created. This is a virtual printer for using Easy-WebPrint EX, and does not have a printing function.
Overview
Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The program adds a toolbar to Microsoft Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named maint.exe. The setup package generally installs about 211 files and is usually about 6.38 MB (6,691,788 bytes).

How do I remove Canon Easy-WebPrint EX?
You can uninstall Canon Easy-WebPrint EX from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
