Overview
Acer Care Center is a program developed by Acer. The most used version is 1.00.3012, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is carecenter.exe. The software installer includes 50 files and is usually about 15.36 MB (16,110,832 bytes). GeneralUpdate.dll is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 10 as well as Windows 8.1. While about 50% of users of Acer Care Center come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Italy.
