WebCallDirect
What is WebCallDirect?
WebCallDirect is a branded VOIP software program from Finarea that provides voice over IP communications. Finarea's software and service provides discount phone service providers free VOIP calls. It ffer 'free' calls to conventional telephones in a select list of countries either without restrictions or after a 'registration' fee has been paid.
Overview
The most used version is 4.09 build 660, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The software installer includes 5 files and is usually about 25.47 MB (26,712,382 bytes).
