VoipConnect
What is VoipConnect?
VoipConnect is a branded VOIP software program from Finarea that provides voice over IP communications. Finarea's software and service provides discount phone service providers free VOIP calls. It ffer 'free' calls to conventional telephones in a select list of countries either without restrictions or after a 'registration' fee has been paid.
Overview
The most used version is 4.14 build 760, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is VoipConnect.exe. The software installer includes 5 files and is usually about 40.04 MB (41,983,003 bytes).
