What is VAIO Easy Connect? (from Sony)
The VAIO Easy Connect software is a Sony wireless networking wizard designed to assist in establishing a wireless network connection to a home router, regardless of whether the wireless router is secured or unsecured. It can also be used to troubleshoot an existing wireless network connection.

VAIO Easy Connect is a software program developed by Sony. It is typically pre-installed with most new Sony computers. The most common release is 1.1.2.01120, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named vgc.exe. The setup package generally installs about 27 files and is usually about 14.36 MB (15,053,448 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. How do I remove VAIO Easy Connect?
You can uninstall VAIO Easy Connect from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
