What is Sk-Enabler?

SK.Enhancer is a protection mechanism that is designed to protect bundled software of potentially unwanted programs distributed through bundles. Also know as SProtector, SK.Enhancer is typically installed with adware such as toolbars and its primary purpose is to prevent a web browser's home page or search engine from being modified to something other than what the adware has set it to. According to multiple anti-virus products this software is generally defined as either an unwanted application or a trojan.

The most common release is 3.2.0.1980, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). How do I remove Sk-Enabler?

You can uninstall Sk-Enabler from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
