What is NortonVRQ?
The VRQ tool allows an engineer to search for and remove malicious programs that conventional anti-virus software is unable to remove. The tool does not offer continuous protection against virus or spyware threats, and should only be used after an infection has occurred.
Overview
The most common release is 5.0.9.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. The setup package generally installs about 8 files and is usually about 3.97 MB (4,167,045 bytes).

How do I remove NortonVRQ?
You can uninstall NortonVRQ from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program NortonVRQ, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove NortonVRQ.
