What is Microsoft IntelliType Pro?
With IntelliType Pro 8.2, setup automatically detects your keyboard model. If you have more than one keyboard attached to your computer, each keyboard model can have different settings. PS/2 devices are no longer supported in IntelliType Pro 8.2.
Overview
The most used version is 8.20.469.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is itype.exe. The software installer includes 24 files and is usually about 29.54 MB (30,972,751 bytes).
