LinkSwift 3.0.0
What is LinkSwift?
LinkSwift is adware that runs in the web browser as a toolbar and web extension. The web extension is primarily designed to take control of the user's browser in order to modify the search provider and redirect web searches to whatever search engine partner the publisher has a revenue relationship with. In doing so, the toolbar performs a number of behaviors in order to maximize the potential of a user to click on sponsored advertising through search.
From the EULA (which is posted as an image to prevent the search engines from text indexes): "The Software is supported by various types of advertising, including, without limitation, windows pop messages, default browser popups. Ads and features that appear on windows by using the Software are not associated with microsoft. Some Software features and ad placements may contain links to further information or disabling instructions (e.g. "About this Ad"). All Software features, content and advertising may be updated, modified, added, enabled, disabled or discontinued at any time automatically and without additional notice to you."
What toolbar EULA says it can do:
- Change of the default search engine, including your Browser's built-in search box, and address bar.
- Addition of alternative error page functionality, such as “Page Not Found”.
- Change of the default Home Page and/or New Tabs, and protect your search settings.
About (from Yontoo Technology)
The Software provides a suite of toolbar-style browser features that customize and enhance your interaction with various websites by rendering graphics, text, or other functional or interactive content in your browser. Such features include, without limitation, tools and applications for search, text referencing, video... Read more
