Left 4 Dead 2 Dedicated Server
Overview
Left 4 Dead 2 Dedicated Server is a software program developed by Valve. It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named srcds.exe. The setup package generally installs about 79 files and is usually about 3.87 MB (4,061,437 bytes). The program is built using the Nokia Qt cross-platforms native C++ framework. Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 49% of users of Left 4 Dead 2 Dedicated Server come from the United States, it is also popular in Australia and Germany.
