What is Arma 3 Beta?
ARMA 3 Beta is an open world tactical shooter video game set in the near-future during the mid-2030s, where NATO forces deployed in the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea are trying to hold off a massive Iranian military offensive from the east. The beta version of the game allows players to experience the game during development, as well as assist in development by reporting bugs and giving feedback on their experience.
Overview
Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The software installer includes 54 files and is usually about 26.77 MB (28,072,385 bytes). ApplyUpdate.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
