ARN Networks Remote Support

What is ARN Networks Remote Support?

ARN Networks Remote Support is a LogMeIn branded computer support and remote access product that uses a proprietary remote desktop protocol that is transmitted via SSL. This allows ARN Networks to provide remote based customer support services. The service connects the remote desktop and the local computer using SSL over TCP or UDP and utilizing NAT traversal techniques to achieve peer-to-peer connectivity when available.

Overview

Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The software installer includes 11 files and is usually about 10 MB (10,484,445 bytes).
