Bandoo jZip is a bundled version that utilizes the jzip archival compression technology. It also bundles various advertising software developed by Bandoo such as the Searchqu Toolbar or others.

Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The main program executable is jzip.exe. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 15 files and is usually about 9.67 MB (10,140,695 bytes).

How do I remove jZip?

You can uninstall jZip from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.

There is really nothing wrong with it. If you uncheck the additional stuff during the install process.. that's it. Works perfectly.

Actually jZip only installs third party software if you accept it to, you can just install the zip program and thats it.

I have used it for years. It´s free and works well. I do not see any third party activity going on with it. I mean none! It works great for me and I will not remove it and install something like WinZip that I have to pay for.
