The Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector is a powerful tool for managing and troubleshooting the Wi-Fi on a Windows XP SP2 or later, Vista, or 7 laptop. Built in tests enable you to characterize the integrity and performance of your Wi-Fi connection.
Overview
Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector is a program developed by Xirrus. The most used version is 1.2.1.4, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector.exe. The software installer includes 72 files and is usually about 25.19 MB (26,409,359 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 40% of users of Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector come from the United States, it is also popular in Germany and United Kingdom.
