Overview

Secunia PSI 3.0.0.9016 is a software program developed by Secunia. It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named psi.exe. The setup package generally installs about 8 files and is usually about 12.09 MB (12,675,867 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 39% of users of Secunia PSI come from the United States, it is also popular in Germany and United Kingdom.

Good old SECUNIA. Don't leave home without it. It is practical and has a small footprint. It won't hurt. So, far, Secunia has managed to stay away from bundling crapware with its product. How they do it, I do not know. Secunia will keep you on your toes and up to date on all your Windows 7 O/S. What is it doesn't not pick up, FileHippo will the rest. They are quite efficient. Keep it.
