The PC Connectivity Solution is a feature of Nokia's PC Suite that allows Nokia phone users the ability to synchronize their phones with their computer. If you utilize device syncing to your PC, this component is required.

Overview

The most used version is 12.0.109.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is ServiceLayer.exe. The software installer includes 54 files and is usually about 14.72 MB (15,430,347 bytes). PCCSUpdater.dll is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
