What is OpenOffice.org?
Apache OpenOffice (AOO) is an open-source office productivity software suite containing word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics, formula editor, and database management applications. OpenOffice's default file format is the OpenDocument Format (ODF), an ISO/IEC standard. It can also handle other file formats including those from Microsoft Office. OpenOffice runs on several operating systems. Although originally written in C++, OpenOffice has been increasingly reliant on the Java Runtime Environment. The current OpenOffice license, the open source Apache v2 license, and the GNU Lesser General Public License it was previously distributed under, allow unlimited use of the software for both home and business use, including unlimited redistribution of the software.

You can uninstall OpenOffice.org from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
