What is Lenovo Browser Guard?
This is a branded version for Lenovo of the Conduit/Perion Search Protect software, a potentially unwanted program that maintains the partner or affiliate directed web page. Although the description says that it “saves your preferred browser's homepage”, during installation, Browser Guard changes your home page to their preferred one and removing yours.
Overview
The most used version is 2.16.50.5, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The main program executable is cltmng.exe. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. How do I remove Lenovo Browser Guard?
You can uninstall Lenovo Browser Guard from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
