What is GOM Player + Ask Toolbar?

GOM Player + Ask Toolbar gets installed through bundled software. The default settings will automatically install the GOM Player Toolbar as soon as you install the host bundler software on your PC. Sometimes Ask Toolbar has a habit of leaving numerious files, settings and useless registry entries behind which might cause some stability and performance issues. Unfortunately, this toolbar won’t be removed even you have uninstall the associated program that bundled it. The toolbar is typically bundled with the free GOM Player program as an option during installation and does not necessarily get uninstalled when GOM Player is removed from the user's PC and must be removed manually. Additionally, if the home page and search settings were modified by this toolbar, they need to be manually reverted back by the user.

How do I remove GOM Player + Ask Toolbar?

You can uninstall GOM Player + Ask Toolbar from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
  1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
    • Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. When you find the program GOM Player + Ask Toolbar, click it, and then do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
    • Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
  3. Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove GOM Player + Ask Toolbar.
