It is the third installment in the Diablo franchise that features elements of the dungeon crawl and hack and slash genres. Players have five character classes available; the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Monk and Demon Hunter. New features include an online auction house, which allows players to trade virtual items with in-game gold or real life money. Artisans that craft materials gathered by the player to create new items.
