Capsule

What is Capsule?

Green Man Gaming is an online downloadable PC games retailer that allows its users to download games with SecuROM DRM.

About  (from Green Man Gaming Limited)

Capsule is our very own gaming client. It allows you to load, play and trade your games. You'll need Windows® XP, Vista or 7 to run Capsule.

Overview

Capsule is a software program developed by Green Man Gaming Limited. It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 52 files and is usually about 26.36 MB (27,644,728 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 58% of users of Capsule come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and France.
