Adobe Flash Player 29 ActiveX
Overview
Adobe Flash Player 29 ActiveX is a program developed by Adobe Systems. The most used version is 29.0.0.113, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is flashutil32_29_0_0_171_activex.exe. The software installer includes 390 files and is usually about 46.76 MB (49,031,745 bytes). The Adobe Flash Player Update Service (FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe) included with the Flash Player is set to run once per day if Flash Player has been configured during installation to install updates automatically when available. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 7. While about 95% of users of Adobe Flash Player 29 ActiveX come from the United States, it is also popular in France and United Kingdom.
