What is ALPS Touch Pad Driver?
This is the software driver package for the installed ALPS Touch Pad. The driver package is required in order for the Touch Pad device to function properly and is the software that allows your computer to communicate with this hardware or device. This program contains the driver for the ALPS Touchpad in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The driver enables touchpad functionality and provides a user interface.

Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. How do I remove ALPS Touch Pad Driver?
