What is pro123?
The Freeven adware injects advertising in the user's Internet browser by running as an extension and/or add-on. Ads are delivered in the form of search-related ads, banner and video ads, in-text ads and links, transitional, interstitial and full page ads. Ads and features that appear on websites using this adware plugin are not associated with the underlying website the user is currently visiting and are injected. These ads are typically injected in the header of footer are of the web page. It will also convert words on pages you view into hyperlinks that are linked to advertisements. This application is classified as adware and/or a PUP based on its behavior. The software is distributed through 3rd-party download managers and installers that may include it as an additional or sponsored offers including adware.
Overview
During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. Once installed, it will add an extension to both the Firefox and Chrome web browsers. The main program executable is utils.exe. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The software installer includes 12 files and is usually about 2.73 MB (2,861,499 bytes).
The program is built using the Crossrider framework, a cross browser monetization platform used to deploy a toolbar and extension for modern web browsers with monetization features including browser search and homepage redirection, contextual coupons and in-line text advertising. Crossrider extensions include background processes to monitor, update and automatically download new features/code without direct user interaction.

How do I remove pro123?
You can uninstall pro123 from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
