iPumper is a download manager and just a re-branded/distributed version of "Fast File Downloader" by www.anyfiledownloader.com. Which is distributed by FreeMediaPack that bundles potentially unwanted programs includeing toolbars. From their EUAL: "FreeMediaPack is a set of useful tools to help users to freely download various multimedia content from internet. You may read more information at http://www.freemediapack.com . For monetization purposes, we reserve our right to propose to users setup various search and advertisement addons like a "InstallCore", "Babylon", or other advertisement vendors."

It creates a scheduled task in Windows that run daily and look for new software to download. When it checks for updates, it connects with the remote server http://www.anyfiledownloader.com/getdistr/i/ for instructions and will download new applications (without the user's direct consent) to the user's local temp folder, C:\Users\%User%\AppData\Local\Temp\.

Downloading the "should I remove it" really worked well for me. It was easy to use and it got the job done, plus it was easy to uninstall once I installed and finished removing Ipumper. Definitely recommend!

I attempted to uninstall from the add/remove in the Window's Control Panel. The message was, "you do not have sufficient access to uninstall ipumper installer. Please contact your system administrator.
