YTD Toolbar v8.4

Please note, Should I Remove It? does not in anyway endorse the software or publisher displayed here. The page exists for informational purposes only to help you make an informed removal decision.

What is YTD Toolbar?

YTD Toolbar is a potentially unwanted web browser extension that is ad-supported and will display various popup and banner ads as well as modify the user's web browser search and home page settings. This plugin will update Internet Explorer (as a BHO), Chrome (as an extension) and Firefox (as an add-in). In some cases, the program will monitor a user's behavior (which the user agreed to if they did not read the full EULA) and will inject rival advertisements over existing one or just inject new ones all together. This toolbar is typically bundled by third party download managers/installers or through questionable online ads.

As part of the installation process the publisher may offer changes to your Internet Browser settings. These changes if approved by you can be reconfigured by you at any time from the options dialog available on your Internet Browser. Such changes may include the following:
- The homepage of your Internet Browser
- The default search engine in your Internet Browser's built-in search box
- The page displayed when opening a new tab

Overview

The program adds a toolbar to Microsoft Internet Explorer. The primary executable is named WidgiHelper.exe. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 4 files and is usually about 3.4 MB (3,564,504 bytes).

  • May modify the web browser's home page
  • The wisdom of the experts agree, if you don't use it you should remove it!
