Overview

WinPatrol is a program developed by BillP Studios. The most used version is 28.1.2013.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is WinPatrolEx.exe. The software installer includes 60 files and is usually about 12.36 MB (12,961,540 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 69% of users of WinPatrol come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Canada.

Yeah well good luck using uninstall because it won't go away. I don't want to download anything else. But I was considering purchasing Winpatrol until it caused my PC to misbehave. I have tried for 2 days to get rid of it and even though it says I uninstalled it, I see it's hidden somewhere, even with Ccleaner trying to get rid of it. I would never purchase a product that embeds itself so deeply and is sneaky too.
