What is VueScan?
VueScan is an image scanning and optical character recognition computer program. It enables the user to tweak and fine-tune the scanning parameters. The program uses its own independent method to interface with scanner hardware. Therefore it is able to use an old scanner without a device driver on new x64 systems. The VueScan website lists more than 1,500 different supported scanners and digital cameras on Windows. VueScan is sold as one downloadable file with two different licenses (Standard and Professional). The license code determines which version is running. Without license the program runs in demo mode. The demo mode is identical to the professional license except that dollar-sign watermarks are superimposed on both saved and printed images.

How do I remove VueScan?
You can uninstall VueScan from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program VueScan, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove VueScan.
