What is VLC classic?
VLC classic is a modified distribution of the free open source VLC Player. The co-bundle distribution packages and installs various potentially unwanted components such as toolbars, web browser extensions and various other potentially unwanted applications. During installation and setup the software will offer uses by default the ability to install web browser toolbars or other potentially unwanted software applications designed to modify a user's search settings.
Overview
A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 42 files and is usually about 57.88 MB (60,692,669 bytes).
