What is Torch?

Torch Browser is a freeware Chromium based web browser and Internet suite developed by Torch Media. The browser handles common Internet-related tasks such as displaying websites, sharing websites via social networks, downloading torrents, accelerating downloads and grabbing online media, all directly from the browser. Torch Browser is commercial freeware offered for Microsoft Windows only. The built-in BitTorrent client allows users to download torrent files. Users can directly share sites, videos, audio and search results with their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is torch.exe. The software installer includes 82 files and is usually about 520.75 KB (533,243 bytes). TorchUpdate.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
Torch has been found to be bundled with 3rd party software. If you have not purposefully installed this, you should be safe uninstalling it.

This is the Chromium Browser but with several awesome added features such as a torrent client, media downloader, threaded downloads (faster downloads), and a social network quick-sharing thingy.
