What is SystemLifter?
SystemLifter/BrickBooster is downloadware that will install itself in the user's boot startup via a task and will download additional adware, PUPs and other harmful applications. Once installed SystemLifter will display popup ads in the browser as well as inject new banner and text-link ads in the user's web browser as part of any web page the user is visiting. Browser popups may also appear which recommend fake updates or other software.
Overview
During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). The main program executable is AmpWare.exe. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The setup package is about 760.38 KB (778,634 bytes) when donwloaded.
