What is BoosterX?
BoosterX is an adware application that will download and install additional adware/PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) including browser toolbars, search hijackers and other unwanted software utilities.
Overview
During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). The primary executable is named PremiumSoftware.exe. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package is about 760.34 KB (778,590 bytes) when donwloaded.
