What is Re-markit?

This is a potentially unwanted web browser extension that is designed to deliver search-based hijacking as well as contextual advertising. The program does this by modifying the user's home and search page in order to monetize a user's search activities. By installing a an extension in Chrome, it has the ability to monitor and track a user web browsing activities and display various banner and link-context ads in addition to its search redirection.

How do I remove Re-markit?

Thank you so much for this information! This downloaded secretly a few days ago and I've had serious problems since. My anti-virus found six virus and 84 add wares just before my pc crashed. It's been a long recovery process to remove this crap. Restoring the pc to an earlier date didn't remove this program. And until I found your post I didn't know what to look for.

I just removed this rubbish Re-markit from Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer. Remove it immediately. It redirects and interferes with normal browser operations and tries to prevent you from discovering it, to the point that it even redirects you from its own web site. Thankyou for the post.

Fantastic explanation. Love all the stats in there of this particular program. I have now uninstalled Re-Markit and my computer and internet speeds have gone back to normal. A massive relief. Thank you very much Should I Remove It.
