What is PowerDVD Create?

PowerDVD is a media player providing DVD playback, with Blu-ray playback. PowerDVD is distributed on physical media or by download from the Cyberlink website. It is often bundled with a variety of PC systems and peripheral devices (particularly optical drives). To watch Blu-ray in PowerDVD the user's computer must be HDCP compliant, with an appropriate videocard, cable and monitor. Cyberlink supports PowerDVD with updates for a limited time after a version is released.

Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software installer includes 115 files and is usually about 759.21 KB (777,429 bytes). WebUpdate.dll is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
