What is PC Speed Maximizer?
PC Speed Maximizer is marketed as a 'PC optimization' software program that works by cleaning the PC's registry whose purpose is to remove redundant items from the Windows registry. The usefulness of registry cleaners is controversial and the software may make no distinction as to the severity of the errors detected and thus may erroneously categorize errors as critical. This version is a rebrand of a white label registry cleaner (from Avanquest Software S.A.) that is often bundled with 3rd-party software.

Overview
It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named PCSpeedMaximizer.exe. Many users end up uninstalling this after less than a month of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 11 files and is usually about 23.25 MB (24,383,358 bytes).

How do I remove PC Speed Maximizer?
You can uninstall PC Speed Maximizer from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
