PC Optimizer Pro is a program that is promoted as a system optimization tool. Some versions of this program may display deceptive or fraudulent claims about files, registry entries and/or other items on the system. From the Website, you can download a free scan check, which is quick and simple. This scan will detect viruses that may be on your computer.

Some versions utilize the OpenCandy software monetization platform which may bundle potentially unwanted software such as toolbars. In addition the software may be bundled by InstallX (installiq.com) and Download Admin (vlc.cc).

PC Optimizer Pro is a comprehensive software application which, apart from protecting your privacy and managing your system startup, combats a variety of PC-envy factors. PC Optimizer Pro is multilingual, multi-utility software.

The most common release is 7.0.6.2, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The primary executable is named pcoptimizerpro.exe. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 35 files and is usually about 18.28 MB (19,170,393 bytes).

1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:

2. When you find the program PC Optimizer Pro, click it, and then do one of the following:
• Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
• Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
3. Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove PC Optimizer Pro.
4. If for some reason uninstallation fails, please install Microsoft's uninstall fixer utility which will help fix problems with programs that can't be uninstalled at support.microsoft.com.
