What is Lyrics Finder?
Lyrics Finder, also known as Adware.Singalng is an adware program that installs a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in Internet Explorer, an extension in Chrome, and an add-on in Firefox, displaying advertisements in the user's web browser. Once installed it will inject ads within a users browser directly in the HTML or by overwriting existing ads. Additionally, many advertisements will be in the form of popups and popunders. It also includes an updater mechanism which will silently update the software if needed from the remote server. The updater, LyricsFinderUpdater.exe, will is added as a login scheduled task which will execute when the user logs into Windows and will run as administrator while avoiding any UAC prompts.
The software utilizes the following ad-networks:
- ad.adserverplus.com
- ad.yieldmanager.com
