Overview
Lock Folder XP is a software program developed by Everstrike Software. The most common release is 3.9.2.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The primary executable is named LF30.exe. The setup package generally installs about 21 files and is usually about 6.27 MB (6,573,005 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 7. While about 20% of users of Lock Folder XP come from the United States, it is also popular in France and India.
