The mod allows thousands of simultaneous players to interact on Panau. Just Cause 2: Multiplayer Mod was started as a fan project intending to bring multiplayer capabilities to Just Cause 2, and was picked up by the official developers as an official add-on.

Overview

During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 38 files and is usually about 29.95 MB (31,409,183 bytes).
