What is HighliteApp?
HighliteApp is an ad-supported browser extension (adware), and when a user downloads the Plugin they will see various types of advertisements displayed through the browser as they visit various web sites. The browser toolbar/extension displays several basic types of advertising: sponsored links, traditional display advertisements, such as banner ads, pop-unders and coupons, and targeted ads and may sometimes appear as in-text advertising and may also be displayed in response to keyword searches.
The software is bundled through various insertion order through download managers as well as companies that are known to distribute adware including Revizer Technologies Ltd.
Overview
The most used version is 1.0.0.8, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The main program executable is hlapp.dll. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The software installer includes 4 files. hlupdate.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.

How do I remove HighliteApp?
You can uninstall HighliteApp from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
