FrostWire 5.5.1

What is FrostWire?

FrostWire is a free, open source BitTorrent client as a fork of LimeWire.

About  (from FrostWire Team)

FrostWire is a free, open source BitTorrent client, first released as a fork of LimeWire. Gnutella support was dropped entirely, and now FrostWire only uses the BitTorrent network. You can now use FrostWire to send large files or entire folders to Colleagues, Friends and family.

FrostWire 5.5.1 is a software program developed by FrostWire Team. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The programs's main executable is FrostWire.exe and has been seen to consume an average CPU of less than one percent, and utilizes about 130.3 MB of memory. It also includes a system tray icon that is displayed in the notifications area while the program is running. The setup package generally installs about 7 files and is usually about 52.6 MB (55,159,118 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows Vista (SP2). While about 75% of users of FrostWire come from the United States, it is also popular in Canada and Netherlands.
