What is Freecorder extension?

Freecorder extension is a bundled toolbar with various versions of the Freecode applciation.

What the toolbar does:
- Change of the default search engine, including the Browser's built-in search box, and address bar.
- Change of the default Home Page and/or New Tabs, and protect your search settings.
- Addition of alternative error page functionality, such as “Page Not Found”.

Overview

It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. In the Google Chrome browser, it will add an extension. The main program executable is DefSearchService.exe. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 15 files and is usually about 2.18 MB (2,290,136 bytes). updater.js is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.

How do I remove Freecorder extension?

You can uninstall Freecorder extension from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.

Freecorder works for its intended purpose but after purchasing ad-free code to remove advertising, ads are still everywhere at the side of every loaded page and pop up at all hyperlinks on pages opened, very annoying and only way to stop this is to remove Freecorder.
